What can I expect from my first yoga class?

Class begins with a short centering to allow you to switch off from the outside world and make the most of the time in the class by focusing on your breathing. We then do limbering sequences to help loosen up and work towards to stronger classical yoga postures. Class finishes with a relaxation at the end to help you to feel relaxed and re-energised.

What do I need?

A yoga mat and a level surface to place it on. Ideally a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Currently all classes are run using Zoom so you need the app on your phone or laptop (free to download from zoom.us)
Wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in.

What level is best for me?

Beginners level is suitable for those with little or no experience and those with limited flexibility. Intermediate level is suitable for those with some yoga experience and reasonable fitness and mobility.

When should I arrive to class?

Please login 5 minutes before the class starts to check your connection for audio and video.

Do I have to turn on my video?

To get the full benefits of the yoga instruction it is best to have your video on but if you don’t feel comfortable with video on or if it’s not possible for you for any reason that’s ok.

What if I have an injury? Can I still do Yoga?

Always consult your physician first and inform the teacher of your injury before the class.

Do I need to pre book for classes?

Yes. Online booking is required for all classes – you can do this here

Book a Yoga Class

Yoga classes are in Hatha Yoga style, consisting mainly of postures (asanas) and breathing exercises (pranayama).
You can sign up for Beginners/Improvers or Advanced Beginners/Intermediate level.
